The fuel line comes off the metal pipe behind the passenger seat, and into the outlet of the fuel pump. |
Then under the parcel shelf and into a fuel filter, then into the fuel tank. The fuel line is secured with metal p clips with rubber inserts. |
The wiring for the pump isn't long enough so its extended. As you can see from the picture all the wiring joins will be soldered and wrapped in self amalgamating tape before being loomed. |
The extended wires are then joined to the Tiger loom. |
This shows the layout of the front wiring loom which drops down the n/s front tunnel end. |
..along the n/s lower chassis rail (leaving out the starter motor loom). |
Then up the front chassis rail upright, leaving out the n/s light loom at the top.... |
Then the horn, rad fan switch, and rad motor looms. |

I have decided to fit a filter king fuel pressure regulator and filter assy. This will ensure I get the right fuel pressure to the carbs, and filter out any nasties!. |
Finished the engine rebuild today. Changed the water pump for an Escort one, fitted new timing belt & tensioner kit, new cam cover & gasket. I have trial mounted the alternator to check for fitment. |
The last task today was to fit my Thatcham Cat 2 immobiliser. For obvious reasons I will not be including pictures of the unit. its mounting position or any reference to what circuits it cuts, or where! |
