Spent a couple of hours tonight starting to strip the rear suspension assy down. Its in pretty good condition to be honest and shouldn't need too much work. The guy I collected it from said it had been sitting around in his garden for a while, this was quite evident by the amount of rust on the rear discs.

The Rear calipers looked quite new, they will be changed though as I don't want to take any chances with the braking system. You might be able to see from the pics that the previous owner fitted a brand new handbrake cable, along with Goodridge braided brake hoses, and grooved rear discs. |

I spent most of my time tonight trying to salvage the grooved rear discs, they have suffered the most from the elements and will take a lot of sanding to get them back to a serviceable condition. I could get some std rear discs but these grooved ones look much better! |

Eventually got to this stage, and decided it was too late to carry on banging around, not sure if I will just degrease the suspension and give it a quick coat of paint, or if I will strip it down and get it shot blasted.
