The time has come to finally fit the rear end.... |

There are 2 panels that need to be made before the rear end can be fitted. These fit at either end of the parcel shelf and stop all the road crud flying up into the car. I made templates from card |

and then transferred onto the ali sheet. |

This shows the n/s one fitted in place. |

Both sides of the rear end are fitted to the side panel with a length of 'p' trim and then riveted. |

This shows the o/s panel in place with the rear end fitted over it. |

The rear end needs some kind of fixing at the bottom. I decided to make up 2 bars to bolt the the lower lip of the fibre glass and then mount to the chassis |

The fuel filler was fun... |

I had to cut about an inch off the tank filler neck to enable me to fit the fuel filler. It is designed by the look of it to fit on the outside of the panel, but that looked naff. I managed to get it mounted on the inside of the panel so the filler cap sits nice and flush. |
